VaultedInsight
Years of records are sitting in your systems. AI research teams will pay for them, anonymized. No equity, no debt, no sale.
Years of work, sitting in storage.
Every year your company operates, it builds a detailed record of how the work gets done. Most of it is archived, rarely opened and never valued.
AI research teams now license that kind of record, fully anonymized, because they can't find it anywhere else. VaultedInsight makes the introduction.
A different way to unlock value.
Owners usually raise cash by giving something up: a stake, a monthly repayment, or the whole company. A data partnership works differently.
| Option | Equity given up | Repayment | Control | Day-to-day change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sell a stake to investors | Yes | None | Shared | Board seats and reporting |
| Take on a loan | None | Principal plus interest | Kept, with covenants | Monthly payments |
| Sell the company | All of it | None | Transferred | Everything |
| Data partnershipThrough VaultedInsight | None | None | Kept in full | None. You keep operating as today |
Payments under a data agreement are typically taxable income. Talk to your tax advisor about how it applies to your company.
What's already in your vault.
You don't need to create anything new. The records research teams want already live in the tools your company has used for years. Everything is anonymized and shared in the format set out in your agreement.
| Drawer | Archive | What it holds | Common tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| D-01 | Correspondence | Years of decisions, and the reasoning behind them, worked out in threads and channels | Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail, Outlook |
| D-02 | Procedures & manuals | SOPs, playbooks, checklists and templates that capture how the firm runs | Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Dropbox |
| D-03 | Financial & operating records | Ledgers, invoices, pipelines and orders from the systems behind the business | QuickBooks, Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot |
| D-04 | Requests & tickets | Work tracked from first request to resolution, including the back-and-forth | Asana, Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow |
| D-05 | Closed engagements | Finished projects with timelines, review notes and status changes across many clients | Practice management and project tools |

Regulated businesses remain responsible for their own obligations, such as client confidentiality rules, IRC §7216 for tax preparers, HIPAA, GDPR / UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act, and other applicable privacy law, and we'll help you raise these with the buyer early.

Frequently asked.
( 01 )Is this a loan or an investment?
Neither. It's a data agreement: the buyer pays to license an anonymized copy of your records. There's nothing to repay, and no one takes a stake in your company.
( 02 )Do I give up ownership of my data?
No. You retain ownership of your underlying data. The agreement covers an anonymized dataset for training and evaluating AI systems, under the terms you and the buyer sign.
( 03 )Who is buying the records?
A research team at a major AI lab training and evaluating AI systems for enterprise work. The buyer's identity is shared on your introductory call and in the NDA, and you'll deal with them directly from that point.
( 04 )Will this be used to compete with me?
No. The purpose is to train and evaluate AI systems in realistic enterprise settings, not to replicate your business, products, customers, or competitive advantages.
( 05 )How is the payment amount decided?
The buyer sets it based on dataset size, workflow complexity, uniqueness of the operational knowledge, data quality, and the domain expertise represented. The final amount is in your agreement before anything is transferred.
( 06 )How is the payment taxed?
That depends on your company's structure and jurisdiction. Payments are typically treated as income, so involve your accountant or tax advisor before signing. VaultedInsight doesn't give tax advice.
( 07 )What does it cost my company?
Nothing. VaultedInsight is compensated by the buyer for successful introductions. You never pay us a fee.
( 08 )What about client consent and confidentiality?
Many businesses, especially in accounting, legal, financial services, and healthcare, have specific obligations around client information. We strongly recommend involving your counsel early, and we'll help you raise any consent or scope requirements with the buyer before signing.
( 09 )Why is there a deadline?
The buyer's current program has a fixed budget and runs through October 31. Companies that are introduced and move forward before then are eligible under the current terms. Later programs may or may not be available.
( 10 )Who should fill out the form?
A CEO, managing partner, owner, or executive who can make decisions about the company's data and agreements.
